Aesthetic Attic is an interior design studio in Sandton. We design homes and hospitality spaces that feel calm, personal and quietly beautiful.

Why an attic?

An attic is where a family keeps the things that matter: letters, photographs, the rocking chair, the box of Christmas decorations. It is the memory of a house.

That is the idea behind our name. We believe the best rooms are not copied from a magazine. They echo the people who live in them, their history, their habits and the places they love.

So we begin every project by listening. Then we plan, draw, source and install with care, until the space feels like it has always been yours.

The first meeting is about you, not about us. How you live, what you love and what drives you mad about the space today.

Keep what matters

Heirlooms, art and the chair you will never give up are where a home's character comes from. We design around them.

Design for real life

Children, pets, busy mornings and long Sunday lunches. Beautiful rooms still have to work every day.

Finish properly

The last ten percent is what you notice. We stay until the art is hung, the lamps are on and the beds are made.

How we work. Five calm steps.

You always know what happens next, what it costs and when it arrives.

Consultation

We meet at your home or in the studio, walk the space and talk about how you live, what you love and what has to change.

Concept

A concept board with layout, palette, materials and key pieces, so you can see the direction before anything is bought.

Design

Detailed plans, lighting, joinery drawings and a full specification with costs. Changes happen here, on paper, where they cost nothing.

Sourcing and build

We order, follow up and coordinate trades and makers, and keep you posted at every stage.

Install and reveal

Furniture placed, art hung, beds made. You walk into a finished room.
